Agostiño Iglesias
(Lousame, A Coruña 1984)
He began his career as a social and advertising photographer with assignments for Greenpeace Spain, Verdegaia, Colabora Birmania, Adolfo Domínguez, Estrella Galicia, etc. In recent years he has focused his efforts on daily photojournalism and documentary photography, collaborating mainly with La Voz de Galicia, but also with El País, Faro de Vigo, Altaïr Magazine and Revista Salvaje. In parallel, he teaches photography classes.
Spirituality and contemplative life are the central themes of his photographic creation, both developed in works such as El Estratégico Silencio, O Capitalismo Salvaxe or Faith, his main long-term project.
Recently, he was part of the Imaxe Covid collective, giving rise to the traveling exhibition Galicia in Vilo de Afundación. Among others, he has been awarded an honorable mention in Galicia en Foco, winner of the category and 3 mentions in the FotoÁgora awards and finalist in the Lugano Photo Days during the last two years.
He is currently a member of the multidisciplinary photographic collective, OllO.
